28.03.2025 – PLANOPTIK AG confirms its preliminary consolidated figures for the past financial year 2024.

Consolidated revenue amounted to EUR 11,861 thousand in 2024, compared to EUR 13,253 thousand in the previous year. As a result, EBITDA fell to EUR 1,761 thousand (previous year: EUR 3,075 thousand). EBIT amounted to EUR 1,024 thousand (previous year: EUR 2,321 thousand) and EBT to EUR 1,085 thousand (previous year: EUR 2,299 thousand). Net profit for the year amounted to EUR 700 thousand (previous year: EUR 1,669 thousand).

The decline in the past financial year is primarily due to the fact that major customers and their customers reduced their inventories, thereby intensifying the effects of the already poor industrial environment.

By contrast, PLANOPTIK AG expects Group revenue and earnings to improve again in the 2025 financial year.

From today’s perspective, consolidated revenue is expected to increase to between EUR 12.0 million and EUR 13.0 million. If global industrial production develops better than previously assumed and customers and their buyers finish destocking earlier, Group sales may also increase more strongly. However, a significant slowdown in the global economy as a result of geopolitical burdens could have a negative impact on growth. A further increase in Group sales is expected in 2026 due to the anticipated market recovery and growth in new products.

Only a moderate increase in EBT is expected for the current 2025 financial year. One-off expenses for the switch to the regulated market and expenses for further expansion are likely to prevent a stronger increase in earnings despite the expected sales growth.
